Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Is there a cost to attend?

Response: Admission is free...parking is free...donations for the festival are appreciated.

Question: What if it Rains?

Response: If it rains hard on the Spriggs Farm we will be forced to cancel or delay the event. However, it has been known to rain in Bloomington while it remains dry on the farm...

Question: Will there be anything to eat?

Response: There will be food and drinks available for purchase, however you are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch. Picnic tables are available.

Question: Should I bring my own lawnchair?

Response: Yes, you can bring a chair or a blanket.

Question: Should I bring my own instrument?

Response: Yes, of course!
Question: Can I bring my pet?

Response: No, unless it is a service animal. No pets, alcohol, or firearms are permitted on the premises.

Question: Is the festival indoors or outdoors?

Response: All of the events are outdoors. However, there is plenty of shade under the many large trees.

Question: I need to use a wheelchair. Will I be able to get around to the various venues? Response: We do not have handicapped accessible facilities on the farm, particluarly restrooms. We do have a golf cart shuttle on the premises to assist those with physical disabilities to get from the parking area to the music, stage, and workshop areas. We are working on making the SpriggsFest accessible to all our patrons.

Question: Besides the groups performing, what other activities will there be? Response: Instrument workshops, story-telling, Civil War encampment, classic
cars, antique tractors, hand crafted vendors of various types, raffles and
give-away items.
Question: Will there be restroom facilities available? Response: Yes, port-a-potties will be available.
Question: What is an "instrument workshop? Response: An "instrument workshop" is like a getting a free lesson from an accomplished musician. They usually consist of demonstrations, discussions, advice and generally sharing knowledge gained through years of experience. Workshops usually focus on a particular instrument (i.e. guitar, mandolin, banjo, etc.) or vocal (singing) techniques.
Question: Can I camp?

Response: No, we do not have camping facilities. However, there is camping at Yellowwood State Forest, at Brown County State Park, or Lake Monroe. Also, there are many motels available in Bloomington, Indiana.
